Kher's 'Actor Prepares' operational NOW
India's respected school 'Actor Prepares' became operational in West London, UK, from September 11, 2008 after selecting its first batch of eight students for a three months course in acting. The school is the brain child of India's ace actor Anupam Kher who has acted in more than 375 films, including a number of English films such as 'Bend It Beckham'. Actor Prepares UK and Europe is a joint partnership between Actor Prepares Mumbai, Heathrow City Partnership and Ealing Institute of Media. India's travelling Environment and Wildlife Film Festival
India’s largest district Leh in Jammu and Kashmir will host “3rd CMS VATAVARAN 2008- Environment and Wildlife Travelling Film Festival” between 11th – 13th September, 2008. The theme of the festival is Climate Change, according to a press release by Vatavaran. It further says:
“The festival will start from Leh and travel to the cities of Agartala, Bhopal, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune & Ranchi from September 2008 to January 2008,” said Ms P. N. Vasanti, Director CMS. Read more »

'Slumdog Millionaire', based on Indian diplomat Vikas Swarup's debut novel 'Q and A' and directed by Danny Boyle of Trainspotting (1996) fame, will close the 52nd London Film Festival (15-30 October, 2008).
