Anil Ambani to invest in Spielberg's DreamWorks
Los Angeles/Mumbai- According to media reports Hollywood film producers DreamWorks SKG are close to a deal with Anil Ambani's Reliance Big Entertainment, one of India's biggest entertainment conglomerates, to form a new movie venture. Ayub Din to mentor fund for first-time filmmakers
Ayub DinAyub Khan Din, the writer of Award-winning comedy 'East is East', about the conflict between a Pakistani father and his mixed race family in Salford, 1971, will mentor the budding screenwriters for a new film fund initiated by the UK Film Council. The Council's new Development Fund programme for first-time filmmakers has made its first awards to talent and projects reflecting the fund's ambition to open up opportunities for budding writers and filmmakers across the UK. Ten UK & India Co-productions in the next two years
The UK and Indian Governments have successfully completed negotiations, which will enable the UK-India film co-production agreement to come into force. Indian cabinet approves UK India Film Co production Treaty
The government of India has given its final clearance to sign the Indo-UK Film Co production Treaty.
