MUMBAI: Karan Johar may well be 20th Century Fox and Star India’s route to make a mark in the Bollywood space. 20th Century Fox Film and STAR India are now well on their way to firm up their Bollywood entry strategy.
In two months, the Indian film industry will see Fox Star Studios — a 50:50 joint venture entity between Rupert Murdoch’s television business in the country — and News Corp’s Hollywood Studio. Read more »

13th European Union Film Festival in India in April
IndianTelevision.com/New Delhi: Twenty-one well-known contemporary films from 19 European countries are to be screened at the 13th European Union (EU) Film Festival, which is being held in five Indian cities during April.
European Union member states embassies and the Delegation of the European Commission are collaborating with a number of local partners to organise the festival in New Delhi(1-8 April), Chennai (7-17 April), Kolkata (10-16 April), Calicut/Kozhikode (17-20 April) and Pune (24-30 April). Read more »
Eros benefits from Sahar deal
LONDON (SHARECAST) - Bollywood movie group Eros International gained on news it has signed a series of major television syndication deals with Sony Entertainment Television and Sahara Television Network.
The firm’s Indian arm bagged the deals for a number of recently released as well as library films.
The deal with Sahara gives the channel access to 35 films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas and Hey Ram. The deal with Sony will allow Eros to premier 16 new films including recent hits like Om Shanti Om and Heyy Babyy.
